FAQ

What type of cattle do we raise?

We raise a variety of high-quality beef cattle breeds including Angus, Red Angus, Angus Cross, Charolais, and Hereford. Each of these breeds is known for producing premium beef with excellent marbling, tenderness, and flavor. Angus and Red Angus are especially prized for their consistency and carcass quality, while Charolais contribute superior growth rates and muscling. Hereford cattle are known for their hardiness and high-yield carcasses. Our Angus Cross cattle combine the best traits of these breeds to deliver top-grade beef that's both flavorful and efficient to produce.

How are our cattle raised?

We raise our cattle using a grass-fed, grain-maintained approach. Our animals are on pasture year-round, grazing freely whenever grass is available. During times when grazing is limited—like in winter or dry seasons—we supplement their diet with grain to ensure steady growth and optimal health. This balanced approach supports both animal welfare and high-quality beef production.

Do we vaccinate?

We believe proper vaccination is essential to raising healthy cattle. Vaccinating our herd helps prevent diseases and the spread of highly contagious viruses, protecting both animal welfare and beef quality. Most vaccines have a 30-day withdrawal period, meaning animals cannot be harvested during that time. However, our cattle are typically raised for about a year before harvest, well beyond this period, ensuring both safety and compliance.

Do we give antibiotics?

We believe in responsible antibiotic use to ensure the health and well-being of our cattle. Most sickness occurs within the first 30 days after cattle arrive on our ranch, and timely treatment with antibiotics can prevent serious illness. Common issues like pinkeye are also easily treatable. Like vaccines, most antibiotics have a 30-day withdrawal period before harvest, which we strictly follow. With cattle at an all-time high in value, treating and saving a sick animal not only protects our investment but is also the humane and ethical choice.
